Welcome to Shanghai Wild Animal Park! Please be ready to embark on a whole-day's journey of exciting adventures, magical experience and amazing performances.

Shanghai Wild Animal Park is an educational and entertaining theme park with animal raising, exhibition, reproduction and conservation. The Park was officially opened on November 18, 1995 in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, with a total area of 153 hectares. It is one of the first AAAAA (top level) tourist attractions in China.
You will find more than 10,000 exotic animals of more than 200 species, most of which are rare wildlife, including giant pandas, snub-nosed monkeys, takins, crested ibis, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, white rhinos and cheetahs. The Park is divided into drive-through and pedestrian areas.

In pedestrian area, you will get to know your animal friends. You can observe rare animals such as giant pandas, African elephants, Asian elephants, giraffes, chimpanzees, gibbons, lemurs, flamingoes, and crested ibis, and enjoy animal encounters and feeding activities.

In drive-through area, animals live in their nature habitat, while humans are kept in a “cage”. At one moment, herds of zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, and rhinoceros are grazing by your side. At the next moment, alpha males of cheetahs, Manchurian tigers, African lions, bears and wolves are leading their pack to start a savage attack.

There are 5 show venues in the Park. “Magic Journey” is presented by a Russian circus and their animal stars. Cheetahs, greyhounds, Mongolian ponies, camels and ostrich are pitted against each other to see who is the strongest and fastest. “Sea Legends” co-starred by Californian sea lions and American sea lions will tell you mesmerizing stories about the ocean.
